Mary Ellen Andras has been the senior consultant with Joanne Davis Consulting Inc. since 2002. She has been actively involved in the firm’s consulting work for the Association of National Advertisers, Bausch & Lomb, BlueCross BlueShield, Choice Hotels, Jim Beam Brands, Macy’s and T.G.I. Friday’s to name a few. She oversees the primary and secondary research into firms/agencies with capabilities most relevant to search criteria while collaborating on RFP and response review in addition to working with clients during the subsequent phases of the search process.
Mary Ellen Andras previously spent seven years working with Joanne Davis at Bozell Worldwide in Business Development.
During her agency tenure most recently as Senior Partner/Board member, Mary Ellen’s responsibilities were wide-ranging: she participated in agency policy and strategy development, headed business development and helped her group agencies achieve $1.5 billion in new business wins during the last eighteen months of her tenure at Bozell.
A true media neutral leader, Mary Ellen was responsible for overseeing the agency program to fully integrate communications services into the general agency mix. She was instrumental in helping develop the initial program – the first formalized, incentivized venture among the group agencies.
Prior to Mary Ellen’s promotion, she was Vice President, Manager of Business Development which included coordinating all new business activity among seven domestic offices and all major global markets, supporting consultant relations, developing RFP responses, planning and creating new business presentations for the agency with assigned teams and leading the design of new systems for reporting new business for the CEO and analysts.
After almost two decades in the agency business on the other side of agency searches, Mary Ellen wanted to move to the consultant side to help improve the practices.
Mary Ellen is a graduate of Syracuse University with a B.A. from the School of Dramatic Arts. She also attended both the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University for graduate courses in Communications and General Studies. She has been a featured speaker for Drexel University’s Marketing Department. Her most recent speech was “Advertising: An Overview, What We Do…Opportunities for You.”
She lives in New York City.
